I’m willing to care about #LeagueofLegends as much as #RiotGames Inc. is willing to care about it. In it seems like that’s “not very much.” No Aatrox, no Darkin, no Ixtal enchanter, no follow-up on Bel’veth or Kai’sa or Taliyah, no interest in Sejuani or Olaf, or Pantheon’s story. Hell, they didn’t even care to tease Aurelion Sol.
Instead we get cringe-ass high school edgelord poetry read by an actress who’s too good for this material over an Unreal Engine 5 upscaled Summoner’s Rift with some phoned in orchestral garbage.
I still care about the characters in this game, but it’s very clear that Corporate Entity #RiotGames does not.

On the apparent "analysis" Riot did that Skyen mentioned, that most players "don't care" about the lore. The real question they're probably not asking: which lore? the lore of Runeterra itself? The lores that have no meaning surrounding the skins? Like, does anyone really care about Project -, Cherry Blossom, Spirit Blossom, – whatever. They're all just flavors of the week.
They've neutered their own lore. Runeterra is supposed to be home to all of these heroes and legends and they're supposed to be fighting each other for some reason. But that reason was removed after what, season 5? Without the lore of the "legends", why would I care to play them?
This poem feels like league's goodbye as they realise that the past is gone (the past as the golden age of lol)
I'd kind of understand if they now focused all their "engaging storytelling" deliveries into other games taking place in Runeterra (like the excellent Ruined King) that are actually driven by narrative (which LoL is definitely not in its actual gameplay). But even within that suposed context, that trailer looks pretty underwhelming, agreed.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you should….

This is actually so unfair, youre not giving Riot any benefits of the doubt. I understand that Riot Games is just a business company by the end of the day, but if Riot ever made a desicion by the means that youre describing we wouldve never seen any cinematic, any music video, other games or tv show. Or even if we did itd be another forgetable thing that just wouldnt mean anything. I bielieve that Riot Games was actually the first company that popularized constant cinematic and events, alongside ranking system and shows for their competitions. Season start for League was like a christmas for me, when i was playing it. I understand that this year has been dissapointed for many of us, but by the mood of the people i feel like everybody is just ready to burn all bridges and throw Riot Games with all its achievements to hell. Which I think is unreasonable to say the least. I also know that most of people who feel hatered towards Riot Games are just kids and troubled teenagers or young adults, that try to throw their anger at anything that wont resist it. But I feel like grown adults shouldnt be reaching conclusions so fast. I dont rememebr where i was going with it im sorry.
Someone commented in the original video basically saying that the leaf transition after the butterfly disappears doesn't make a lot of sense since all the trees around are needle trees
With League of legends being… You know, league of legends, it's kinda surprising that this specific cinematic is what makes you want to quit

This isn’t a negative video or topic. People getting heated and aggressive about a topic that is important to them or is an issue, is a good thing. It’s good to hear strong adamant opposition to things that are are a problem or just what you care about in general.
Well, they're showing you the maps all broken, tired and abused after 13 years of battling while narrating a poem about moving on (without forgetting, though) and press further, so the message about how they feel about the game is pretty obvious to me.
In a way I can relate, I do feel that League is already all it can be and i'm a little nostalgic of previous seasons when I was anxious for the next champion release, ranked, the next big in-game event or even worlds. Also I'm a little sad that I couldn't master it at the level a wanted and that things turned out not for the better regarding the game in general, but well… I'd like to end the comment in a better tone but nothing comes to my mind… lol

I wonder if the wapons, armor and footprints mean anything? Like maybe the Moon and the indicated Champs do Have an interesting connection?
But i fear its just my heart beating for the story i hope for. Like more about Phel, Diana and Leona. In fact i hope so much for it that the Moon alone have made me Look again and again the tiny bits and searched for some hints… just anything!
I appreciate that the actress took inspiration for the reading, from the challenge of trying to make that poem sound good.
